Qld: Almost 30 arrested in drug operation
BRISBANE, Aug 28 AAP - Almost 30 people have been arrested in a drug operation involving
sniffer dogs at a central Brisbane railway station.
Police arrested 26 people for 28 drug related offences, as well as two other people
for public nuisance and stealing, during the operation at Brunswick Street Railway Station
on Friday night and early Saturday morning.
A police spokeswoman said a total of 80 people were detained and searched after sniffer
dogs indicated they had been in contact with drugs.
She said those arrested would face court within a fortnight.
