NSW: PM's school plans make no difference: Teachers' Federation
The New South Wales Teachers' Federation has blasted KEVIN RUDD'S plan for a national
school performance reporting system .. saying it's an example of fruitless policy making.
The PM announced yesterday .. individual school performance reporting will be a condition
for an education deal with the states from January.
He also pledged to establish new standards to reward school principals and the best
performing teachers and .. fund teacher recruitment .. development and excellence.
Federation president MAREE O'HALLORAN says Mr RUDD has disappointed teachers by adding
school watch to fuel watch and grocery watch.
