Telewest Broadband relaunched www.blueyonder.co.uk and merged its dial-up and broadband websites.
The company said that extensive research found that services are now just as important to consumers as content, with web users not always wanting content generated by their ISP.
Blueyonder.co.uk will also be the first website in the UK to host film and music streaming at speeds of up to 2Mb per second. Chad Raube, director of Internet services at Telewest Broadband, said: 'Our customers are more savvy and no longer need their ISP to nanny them when viewing content.'
