REP. SPACE ANNOUNCES TELECOM GRANT FOR CENTERBURG LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

Rep. Zack Space, D-Ohio (18th CD), has issued the following news release:

Congressman Zack Space (D-OH) today announced a $10,500 grant has been awarded to the Centerburg Local School District to expand their telecommunications capacity. This grant was awarded under the Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund, which is administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) under the direction of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

"Communications technology is the backbone on which our region's future will be built," Space said. "These grants are vital in assisting our libraries and schools connect to the vast resources available around the world."

These "E-Rate" grants provide schools and libraries with discounted access to telecommunications and internet access. To date, the 18th Congressional District has received over $850,000 in funding to expand access to this vital technology this fiscal year.Contact: Matt Thornton, 202/225-6265.
