NSW: Explosion in northern Sydney cafe injures 10

SYDNEY, Feb 3 AAP - Ten people were injured during an explosion at a cafe on Sydney's
northern beaches, the NSW Ambulance Service said today.

A pressurised spray can is believed to have overheated and caused the explosion in
the kitchen of the cafe, in Bungan Street, Mona Vale, about 11.30am (AEDT), an ambulance
spokeswoman said.

"The explosion was so great that it blew out the front window of the cafe," the spokeswoman said.

No diners were in the cafe, but several sitting at tables outside were showered with
glass, she said.
